While the Jaibazul forest grows, the nearby forests are being deforested. Most of the surrounding lands are private property so there is no hope that any government agency will intervene to save the ecosystem.
I worry that tomorrow the Jaibazul forest will be an island in a sea of pastures. I have done everything i can, but at the end I am just one person, trying to save a little piece of the world. I do not know how many more trees I must plant or what is the minimum area the top-cotton tamarin needs to survive if the few remaining ecological corridors get lost.
Species that depend on mangroves are also in serious danger, the Jaibazul mangrove is the only one left in the area.
